There are also many interesting rock formations in and along the shore. There are many mountains around the lake and several fingers that our boats ventured into. We could see the water level changes over the years by the marks on the rock walls. Looked like fun for hot days! There are even some beaches on this lake! Boats could pull up onto these beaches and folks had picnics.
We saw many people spending their day on houseboats and some on kayaks while others were on jet skis or speed boats. It’s quite long and Lake Powell Resort and Marina is the southwestern most point. We took the 8 hour boat tour to Rainbow Bridge National Monument so we got up close to some of the shore and learned about the lake. Our family of 3 (mom, dad, and tween son) were blessed to experience yet another amazing outdoor beauty…Lake Powell.
